A Journey through the Night
City life, an inescapable concrete playground; insipid to some however sheen to many,
Straight above the rushing city a faint trace of stars lie.
Trembling from an untrained eye all to be foundered by the clusters of clouds,
All who have traversed near and far to speckle this one sky.
An owl fluttering high in the sky to sweep upon a stretched snake,
Whom just dissolved his own meal.
Amidst the blooming flower bed, sheer swelling causes the night hawk to drop the prey.
The livid owl soars home as the shining stars nudge out from the clouds in the night sky,
To celebrate a new beginning, before ones’ delight in a journey;
One must entreat oneself for a journey.

Dog’s Life
Waking to another livid human; Fluttering butterflies
Dinner? Or in trouble? Rushing for food,
Nudging max for insipid pedigree
Dissolving the last cluster of food
Traced back to the sheen door
Entreating to get outdoors,
Stretched for all the warmth.
Swelling from cluster of flies
Time to drop a bone
Sniff sniff speckled,
That’s pedigree for you.
Traversing into the house amidst dinner
Begging for their supper;
Celebrant yummy food as I tremble for more
Human yelling
Scaring me I foundered
My inescapable fate…
Was the cage.

Summer
On a hot summer day
Being spent by the pool
My skin absorbs every sun ray
While I jump in to cool
The water makes a splash
Then I come to the surface
Like I was competing for cash
If I were the judge, I’d win first place.
I got out of the water
To soak up the sun
In hopes to get smarter
Or maybe just for fun
When I got home I showered myself clean
And notice I should have used sunscreen
